Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 16, 2026
Drivey Car ("the app," "we," "us") is a game for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch developed by Satoru Labs. This policy explains how Drivey Car handles your information. In short: Drivey Car collects no personal data and runs no servers of its own, and everything it stores stays on your device — with one optional exception, Apple's Game Center, described below.
The short version
- We do not collect any personal data.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
- We make no network connections of our own, and the game is fully playable offline. The only optional exception is Apple's Game Center (see below), which you control and can leave unused.
- We operate no servers, accounts, or logins of our own. Game Center, if you use it, is Apple's optional service — not ours.
- Optional motion-based controls read your device's motion sensors only to control the game, live, in memory — never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to anyone — because we never collect any.
What data we collect
None. Drivey Car does not collect, transmit, or receive any personal or usage data. There is no server for it to send anything to.
What is stored on your device
To make the game work as you'd expect, Drivey Car saves a small set of game values locally on each device using the operating system's standard on-device preference storage (Apple's UserDefaults):
- Your scores and progress — your best score and other game progress values.
- Your preferences — settings such as your chosen control scheme and sound on/off.
These values stay on that device at all times. They are per-device: your progress and best score on your iPhone or iPad are separate from those on your Apple Watch. They are never transmitted off the device (the one optional exception being leaderboard scores you choose to submit via Game Center — see below), are not visible to us, and are not shared with anyone. If you delete Drivey Car, this information is removed along with the app.
Motion-based controls & motion sensors
Drivey Car offers an optional motion-based control scheme. It is off by default — the standard controls do not use motion at all — and you turn it on yourself in the in-app settings.
- When motion-based controls are on, the app reads your device's motion sensors (via Apple's CoreMotion) to sense how you're moving the device, and uses those readings in real time, in memory, for the sole purpose of controlling the game.
- Those readings are never recorded, stored, saved, logged, or transmitted anywhere. They exist only for the instant they control the game, then are discarded. There is no motion history — nothing leaves your device.
- If you leave motion-based controls off, the motion sensors are not used by the app at all.
- Because the readings are used only as live input and never leave the device, this is not data collection under Apple's definition, and it involves no tracking.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Drivey Car contains no analytics tools, no advertising, no tracking technologies, and no third-party software development kits (SDKs). We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not build any profile about you.
Network connections
Drivey Car makes no network connections of its own and requires no internet connection to play. It communicates with no server of ours — we don't have one. The single, optional exception is Apple's Game Center: if you are signed in to Game Center, your leaderboard score is sent to Apple's Game Center service (never to us). See "Game Center" below.
Game Center
Drivey Car includes an optional Game Center leaderboard feature. It is entirely opt-in, and the game is fully playable without it.
- Game Center does anything only when you are already signed in to Apple's Game Center, which you manage in your Apple account settings. Drivey Car has no separate account or login.
- When you finish a game while signed in, Drivey Car submits that score to Apple's Game Center service so it can appear on the leaderboard.
- Those scores are handled by Apple, under Apple's privacy policy, as part of the Game Center service. Drivey Car operates no servers of its own, receives no personal data about you, and does not store your Game Center identity beyond what the system itself shows on the leaderboard screen.
- If you are signed out of Game Center, or offline, nothing is submitted and nothing is transmitted — the game behaves exactly as it does with the feature unused.
Everything else Drivey Car stores stays on your device, as described above.
Data sharing and selling
We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose any data — because none is ever collected.
Children's privacy
Drivey Car is safe for players of all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. It is consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws, as there is no data collection to consent to.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Drivey Car handles information, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Because the app currently collects nothing and makes no network connections of its own, any change would be reflected here before it takes effect in a new version of the app.
